THE WORKING PRINCIPLE OF SMPS BATTERY CHARGER
The working function of this charger is based on fly-back topology. The high switching frequency makes the battery components decrease in size. The efficiency of these chargers is more than 75%. The input voltage is applied to the transformer, switched at a higher frequency using opto-isolators.
The output of the transformer is checked with the use of rectifier diodes. The output is then smoothed with smoothing induction units to reduce ripples to the required level. The input voltage range is between 160 V and 270 V, a wide range for chargers to work effectively.
